Honesty is the most important thing for me in a relationship as it can help with working through any problems you might encounter
In terms of activities to share together, the first that springs to mind is cliche but very much true...long countryside walks (any season and any weather might I add, and dog optional). Also, visiting nature reserves, museums and other attractions. Watching live sport (I appreciate it's not everyone's cup of tea though). Cheeky bit of travel of course. And how could I forget...plenty of pub visits
Also, I didn't know where to put this so will put it down here but I've recently moved to Bangor in North Wales to study a course in forestry. I'm on the course until next September so will be up here till then. On the other hand, I still visit home a fair bit and I'd still be up for going on a date and taking it from there
